Second, Edina Bike's delivery vehicle a ZAP Xebra Xero (solar powered
pick up truck, licensed as a motorcycle) has been supercharged. They
added a 7th, 12 volt, 140 amp hour battery to the motor circuit
increasing the voltage from 72 volts to 84 volts. This has increase the
top speed and range by about 15%. To avoid issues with the charging
system / electrical control system, a separate waterproof battery
charger was added to recharge the extra battery. It drives like an
entirely different vehicle, visit Edina Bike and give it a test ride.
This is only recommended for ZAP vehicles out of warranty for this
enhancement voids any existing warranty.
Third, a new YouTube video shows some of the new products from ZAP
(www.zapworld.com) Click on the following link to see the Alias, which
will compete for the 10 million dollar X-Prize,
(http://www.progressiveautoxprize.org/) and a new Xebra 5 door
hatchback. <>
