I got an e-mail from a friend at the Greenway Coalition wondering about trike
options for
someone on a limited budget. The person is a heavy, middle-aged, low-income
individual
who does not drive and who has been advised to exercise and lose weight -- who
has gotten
a $700 grant to buy a trike for exercise and transportation and has been having
trouble
finding something suitable. The upright adult trike seats were not comfortable,
and the
trikes didn't seem sturdy enough, but the recumbent trikes were too expensive.
Does anyone
know of something on the used market, or some other option among the
commercially-
available trikes? (The $700 wouldn't necessarily be the upper limit, since the
person has
could add some personal funds and perhaps manage $900 to $1000.)
