Anyone know where I can get plans to build a recumbent trike without
spending several hundred dollars? I am used to building a lot of
things from salvaged and recycled materials and know I can round up a
few conventional bikes for parts. Just don't have a lot of money and
my roomate needs a trike to get around.
Found a few pages on the internet that looked interesting but all the
pages left too many unanswered questions. Would prefer plans that
don't require welding since I don't have a set up for it but if a
relatively small number of welds are needed I might be able to find
someplace I can use an arc welder for a couple hours. I can do the
welding, just don't have access to the equipment.
Saw a few recumbent bikes frames made out of wood. Has anyone run
across any trike plans made from wood? I'm a professional handyman
and have all the tools necessary for furniture making so this would be
a great way to go for me. Saw pictures of one recumbent bike made
entirely out of plywood. Having a lot of experience with the material
I understand the strenghts of the materials and can easily see how it
could handle the stresses if properly designed. Anyone have more info
on wooden recumbents?
