Hello Fellow Cyclists,
The Bike Edina Task Force in conjunction with the Hiawatha Bicycling Club
would like to have you join us for a nice winter bike ride. This is a short
9 mile ride with hills and should take an about an hour.
I would ask that you think about joining the HBC. The club has many other
things to do besides cycling. A membership application can be found at the
following link
http://www.hiawathabike.org/join_hbc.htm the main website is
http://www.hiawathabike.org/ Please feel free to bring the membership form
and check to the ride. If you can't make the ride please consider mailing in
a membership so you are ready for the next ride.
With the sponsorship of HBC we have insurance coverage which makes the ride
a bit easier to pull off. Insurance coverage is free to members of HBC and
they have graciously offered to cover any non-members that ride at no cost
instead of the normal few dollar charge per rider.
With any winter ride you can only plan ahead so far. The weather looks
good...but this is Minnesota in January. Every time I look at the weather
forecast it changes a bit. Even if the weather gets bad we will be at that
starting point.
The ride will leave at 1 p.m. Please have your bike and gear ready to go by
12:50 p.m. at that time we will gather for a few short announcements and to
sign in. We will ride at 1 p.m.
Okay details about the ride are:
You will also find a map attached
