Transportation Amendment Victory
You did it! Your voices (and votes) created the first secure funding
source for transit in state history. Passing the amendment is just the
first step in building a 21st century transportation system for
Minnesota. What will happen now? Check it out.

Election Sets New Stage for Transportation Reform
Only forty percent of transit's needs are met by the passage of the
Transportation Amendment. Issues about the distribution of the new
funding still need to be addressed, and the political landscape going
into the 2007 legislative session has dramatically changed after the
recent elections. Transit for Livable Communities will continue working
to increase the momentum for transportation reform and transit funding
in Minnesota by pressing for adoption of Transportation Choices 2020.

Biking and Walking Program
Transit for Livable Communities hosted key meetings of national and
regional stakeholders for its Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Program
(NTP) in November. The Bike-Walk Advisory Council (B-WAC) for NTP also
met again this month. Stay in the loop.

influence. Come join us! <http://www.tlcminnesota.org/tcn/tcn.html#tcn>
