If you need it already threaded (ie. no local bike or machine shop that
could face and thread it for you) then your best bet may be the Gaerlan
company. They have a pre-threaded bottom bracket shell for $8.95 mail
order. The standard size is 68 mm wide and English threaded (the main
variation is in the length of the spindle and the type of BB bearings
used, not in the shell itself), which seems to be all they offer. For

Hi,
Don't know where else to turn, so I thought I's try this group. I'm
looking for the threaded tube that the crank goes thru, to use in
building a recumbent. I don't know how many different sizes there are
either. Any help is appreciated.
