I saw this on an independent news service
It may explain Mary Arneson's comment that location of crash was off
by 1.2 miles.

And now the other side of the story from Harvey Paul:
iIndependent reporter for Velovisine.
---Terrorist in custody---
Today Police arrested Ahben Biken identified as the man who is
suspected of hatching plots to destroy recumbent bike shops in the
Twin Cities. His motives were unclear, however was reported to be a
disgruntled bicycle racer that had lost to a 12 year old recumbent
rider during a recent velo-event. The terrorist was extracted from
the wreckage of a van full of fertilizer that ran into a building at
24th and Hennepin. The suspect mistakenly used manure instead of a
nitrate based fertilizer for his bomb. Many rolls of duct tape were
used to hold the bagies of manure to the walls of the van. The van
turned out to be a giant stink bomb, resulting in the destruction of
many wedgies and blow dryers.
The perpetrator stated during police questioning that his
target had been 34th and Hennepin, however he got slightly off
course and ended up hitting the beauty salon and adjoining wedgie
dealer who sponsors the team that he rides for. The man escaped
unscathed and was attended to by paramedic Dave Krafft, who
coincidentally is a member of the Minnesota Human Powered Vehicle
Association, which is said to be a "dis" organization dedicated to
the promotion of riding in comfort, while reclined in what can only
be a called rolling "lazy-boy".
Thanks to the ineptness and nearsightedness of the (alleged)
terrorist, the Calhoun Cycle shop is still in tact and the other
shops in the Twin Cities area such as Edina Bike and Sport are safe
at this time.
It is suspected that a ring of terrorists still exists and is
operating in the twin cities area. Please watch for gangs of
disgruntled cyclists which reportedly ride in packs and go by the
name of The Peliton Angels.
Police request that any suspicious activities seen around bike shops
or on the bike trails be reported immediately.
