Chris,
Try McMaster-Carr: www.mcmaster.com
I've used 3/8" fuel line hose from the auto parts store with success.

Chris,
Jon Nygren, AKA Aluminum Jonny, has built several machines using auto and
truck bump stop rubbers that he finds along the road as suspension
medium. I have been picking up the ones I've seen, and have several. I
don't have any plans for them so if you want to stop by and see if any
would be suitable you're welcome to them.
I think Dave Krafft knows where to buy urethane based elastomers in
various durometers.
