Look at the pretty putters on this link:
http://www.golfvox.com/cameron/cameron_index.html
You know what I like? The big letter stamps. Stuff Cameron did a
decade ago, and disappeared until the last year or so. I'm seeing
more and more putters on the registry coming from the studio to the
tour with the big stamps-especially in the cavity.
There are a few other retro ideas Cameron has implemented:
1. The tour leather grip
2. The rounded look of the BBC/009 like the super rare Scottydale
3. The American Classics VII
What other retro ideas would you recommend?
Personally, I'd love to see a studio 3.5 with a plumber's neck, like
the old 944. I'd also love to see a studio 5 with a plumber's neck
too. The Trevor Dodds tour putter on my site is an example of what
could be done. Better yet, how about a "Winter 2005" putter, instead
of the Holiday putter. Imagine a Studio 1 in black oxide with snow on
the flange. Make 1000 of them. Figure a way to have a machine engrave
or stamp the snow on the flange. They'd sell like hotcakes.
Ok, maybe that last idea was pie in the sky. Let the ideas fly!
