RE: [Rap Pak] Re: Wizard/Raps Recap

Honestly im getting tired of hearing everyone crying about Rob Babcock and
everything he has done wrong. Im glad that you like Calderon but where is
the credit for Villanueva? Do you think we should have drafted a Center or
Point just because we needed those positions? NO, We did not draft a center
or point with are first 2 picks because the best players on are depth charts
were there. Golden rule in drafting is never draft strictly for a need, Make
sure you are getting a top of the line talent as well as maybe filling a
gap. The only Center in the draft capable of starting in the next 2 years is
Bogut, The other centers in the draft might not even make it as a starter in
this league. I say we drafted a damn fine player in Charlie Villanueva who
does everything well for us. I would much rather have Villanueva then any
Center other then Bogut in the draft. Joey Graham had the best workouts of
any player in the draft, Joey is a pure athlete with huge intensity and
upside. Jerry West congradulated Babcock on the pick so that is a plus,
Graham is what this team needed on defense. The way i see it is Villanueva
and Bosh can both play 30+ mins and give you almost everything a ball player
can, I rather have that then another might be Center in this league. And if
you can not see where CV fits into this team then it is obvious you are
still stuck on the Center problem. We have Woods, Araujo and Williams who
can all play Center but will most likely not play 30 mins. That leaves alot
of minutes for other guys to earn and Villanueva does evrything well so he
helps fill in are weaknesses. I like CV and i think Babcock did the right
thing by drafting the guy his scouts said was the best player left.

Well as for the game against the Wizards i just hope every loss can be like
this one. We out rebounded them so that is a good way to start the year off.
I think we were a little jumpy in the offensive end the whole night, It was
are offense that lost this game for us. I really like the idea that if
peterson, Rose and Bosh would have all showed up we could have won fairly
easily. The offense will find its way i just hope the defense is still
around when it does. I like how Chris Bosh got alot of shots, i just didnt
like the shots he took. It looked like he was forcing his shots all night
and was afraid to drive the hoop. Bosh is at his best when he is getting to
the line, That didnt happen lastnight.

First game I have seen this year and there was a lot of ups and downs. They rebounded better (48-44) and that was what kept them in the game, but their...

Good post. One thing I'd like to see the raps do is to hire a big man coach. The rasp a have couple young bigs (Bosh, CV) who are big guys, but only have small...

One big weakness is defense, which Villaneuva doesn't fill that well. I really can not argue this, We knew Villanueva was not going to come in here and play...

Bonner is an asset. It doesn't matter whether he is tremendously useful at this point. The fact is that he can play in the NBA and has a specific skill that...
