I'm still not sold on this one. Sure, on one hand, Davis will give us
a great scoring option. Someone who can score 20 points a night and
take the load off Vince. On the other hand, we're trading away a hard-
working, team player in Alvin for an immature, selfish player in
Davis. With Alvin at least you knew what you got. Consistency on
defense every night and even some leadership ability. But with Davis
there's a lot of uncertainty. His numbers are inflated from playing
on a bad team. His selfish attitude is almost infamous. The triple-
double fiasco was just a taste of it. He has a history of self-
destructing under a demanding coach, which appears to be the criteria
for our new coach. This trade is only favourable to me if the
following occurs:
-We draft big
-We hire a coach who can discipline young players (Silas got along
with Ricky great)
-A big man like Mihm or Boozer is added to the deal
Otherwise, the trade seems too risky.
