I'm of two minds on this idea
First of all Davis is an excellent talent and the trade is appealing
because Williams is kind of broken down and just isn't near the
talent that Davis is. At the same time I doubt it would improve the
team much because we can shuffle all the swingmen we want and it
doesn't really solve the problems in the middle and it would create a
bigger problem than we already have at the point.
But based on the talent of Davis (and the wretchedness of the current
Raptors) I probably would make that trade just because I don't think
Ricky Davis could make the Raptors worse at this point. If he gets
his head on straight (even if it takes a couple years) the reward
would be huge.
The deal sounds like one that could only be completed on draft day,
and since no one knows where anyone picks it is hard to know all the
factors involved.
Now if Cleveland would send us Chris Mihm for Lindsey Hunter as part
of the deal. I do it in a heartbeat.
