OK, I'm "IN" I'm writing this in order to be competitive for coveted AFLAC award. I probably shouldn't be vying for that duck because the teddy bear I sleep with might get jealous. However, maybe my bear could also cuddle the duck. Besides, the little duck would be good on trips where you have to pack light. Got to thank Al and Steve for providing such a desirable award for such a worthless competition.
Also want to thank both team Tark and team Dog for making my 135 mile ride easier than the 60 mile one I did last week with the Czar up Kitchen Creek. Between the two tandem teams, I didn't need to pedal for almost all of the 100 miles they pulled me. They move at a respectable clip too. My average speed showed 14.7 mph at the end of the day. There is also an advantage to riding behind the two Huskies of the dog sled team. When a car gets too close, Diesel Dog barks and if the car doesn't move out of the way, he knocks it right into next week with his giant paw. I vote to have either or both teams on every future RFR ride. I'm now totally spoiled. I don't think I would have gone all the way if they hadn't pulled me along.
Really did like Rob's low rider. He's so low and fast that he didn't need a tandem assist. Chuck had a fairing, so he must have gotten pulled along by that and also didn't need the tandems. It was a big relief to see the Muffin Man on something other than a wedgie, or a sheep.
Great Czar photos as usual. You really did get a good one of "Dolly". So the short answer to your question is: Yeah Baby!! we did have fun!
