Dear Rollerskating Pals,

I decided to take this 120 mile journey because 7 out of the 10 charities I sponsor for Rainbow Rollerskate are also benifiting from this ride.  Please help me continue to help those in need.

I have never done anything like this, but have decided to challenge myself while helping others in need. I am participating in the Hill Country Ride for AIDS, a 2 day bicycle ride through the beautiful Texas Hill Country. I am not a cyclist, but with their training program, I'm sure I can do it!

Where do you come in? There are more people living with AIDS than ever before. I have committed to raise a goal of $600.00 to provide basic services, things you and I take for granted every day. I need your help to meet my goal!

As you decide your amount, imagine not being sure if you were going to have enough food, or medical care, or imagine being sick and not having any family to help take care of you. The agencies supported by this Ride provide all of these services and more. Together, we can make a big difference for some wonderful people.

Thank you,

James D. Svetlik

Hello Skaters,

There will be no skatenight this Wednesday.  Because  of lack of interest, Skate World Northwest would like to do something else on Wednesday nights.  However, skatenight has changed to the second Monday of every month.  The next skatenight will be Monday, September 13th.  I will be sending out an e-mail to remind you.  Hope to see you there.

I am in the process of getting flyers done to pass out.  I'd like to thank Don Baker for making a contribution to help getting some flyers made and to Roland Sanchez for helping make some temporary flyers.

Thanks,

Tonight ABC will be filming  clips for a reality show which will air on ABC this fall.  It is called Wife Swap.

Sorry this is so last minute, but it was suppose to happen Wednesday and the poll that the transformer was on fell at the rink, causing a power outage and the rink was forced to close.

Please make it there if you can this evening Friday the 16th from 5:30 - 7:30 for your chance to be on national tv.

This is a gay oriented show so they want to our crew to be there.  Guess they are on a deadline, because they are very persistant.

Take care and hope you can make it

Tonight with AMP! Weve got a B-day boy!!!

Tonight, Friday (4/16) AMP Goes Bowling!!! AND its Bradys B-day!! Brady has allways supported AMP so AMPs invited him to celibrate his Bday with us tonight at The Union on campus. Shine those bowling shoes boys... we're hitting the lanes at the UT Union Underground for a fun-filled evening of america's other pasttime. We'll meet there at 8pm, and once we know who's playing, and who's there to cheer us on, we'll let the games begin. The Underground also has a lot of pool tables, and video games... suitable alternatives or those who don't want to wow everyone with their bowling skills. Sooo... if you need directions, or have any other questions, please don't hesitate to give us a ring or drop an email. W ell see you at 8pm @ the UT Union Underground

***Every Tuesday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm at the AMP house is open for “Drop-In.” If you have an idea or suggestion, want to talk to someone, are looking for a place to chill or are just in the neighborhood and want to “drop-in” and say hi... well.. come on by. Hey Guys and Gals,

As I've been soliciting Rainbow Skatenight info, I get a lot of guys wanting it to involve alcohol.  I think this may boost our level of participation, or woulod at least like to give it a try.

It would be on a Bring Your Own Boose set-up with everyone having to sign a waiver.

I would like to get your input on the situation!!!  Please email me back at jsvetlik2003@... to let me know your veiws, both good and bad.

Thanks a million!!!!
