Does anyone think it would be a good idea
to skate only once a month?

Subject: [rainbowangels] Time for
me to step down
Rainbow Angels,
I am stepping down from running Rainbow
Rollerskating at the end of
the year. (Elton is too busy to take over
the group.) I would
certainly like to see the event continue and
thrive, but I see two
paths forward.
If someone from Rainbow Angels is willing to take
over the group, I
would be happy to facilitate the transition, give
advice, and continue
coming as a participant. It's not a huge
time committment. I would
expect this person to commit to running the group
for at least a
year. RR requires a good bit of consistency
to keep the momentum
going. I would be happy to chat with anyone
who is interested in
what's involved.
If no workable plan arises, I'll simply wind the
group down. I don't
see this as an enormous loss as I don't think
Austin can support RR at
this time. While we have 380 people on our
mailing list, turnouts
have been hovering in the 30 range. I feel
that people know we're
here, they're just choosing not to come.
