OK, Now I'm really stressed! I have to plan the Saturday am bike ride, and
there's chance Matt might slip under my covers.
Shit!
For the bike ride; two options: one - ride the W&O from the red coboose in
Vienna , Va. 0900 start. We ride west to Leesburg, Va., and then return via
Jimmy's tavern in Herndon. Very flat, country scenic, very good for pack
riding and fast pace. downside - no real D.C. highlights.
option two - ride from my house to Old town Alexandria 0900 start. Throw
rocks at McBrides bedroom window to wake his sorry butt up and get him out.
Ride north along the river to DC. Cross into Georgetown and ride the
Capitol Crescent trail northwest to Bethesda, Md (along the C&O Canal. On
the way back, ride the mall (beer stop optional - they don't open the stand
until 10am)
cross 14th st Bridge back into Va. and stop in Old Town at the Bayou room
(219 King St - Beer stop mandatory, cigars optional), then back home (nasty
hill coming back)
Option one about 30-35 mi
Option two about 40-44 mi
Let me know who all wants to ride (the more the merrier), and which route
you'd prefer, and I'll nail the details accordingly.
Now for the other issue, Matt you are the man!, but I am leaving for a
family vacation on Sunday, and would really like to go with that "fresh"
feeling. I'll pass on the sleepover this time. I wish Sarah or Nancy were
coming so you won't be pre-occupied with me all night. Do your best Buddy
Out, dt
