Does this really matter? "Whats in a name"?
As a parent with a youngster in the sport, I am grateful to the R.W.A. for
providing my daughter with the opportunity of good competition and hopefully
the opportunity to make friends in the sport and enjoy a fun weekend away in
Dublin.
Hopefully some of these juniors will stay in the sport and make up the 'real'
England teams of the future.
Cheers,
Bridget

I am worried there seems to be some confusion at best or at worst
misinformation occuring over this event. It should be noted that England
Athletics has picked a team for this event, that team is:
Luke FinchDominic KingDan KingJoanna JacksonLisa KehlerNo junior or under 23
athletes were picked due to it being the EA championships for these ages the
same weekend.
This team was selected with a view to providing opportunities for prospective
candidates for next year's Commonwealth Games. EA are the governing body of
Athletics for England and reserve the right, alone, to pick England teams. The
RWA have selected a team, as is quite clearly their right. The issue is that
some people are inaccurately according the latter team, the inappropiate title of
an England team, there can only be the one England Team, that is the EA one.
Lets hope all our athletes, who ever they are, are able to perform to their
best.
Cheers
