Please forward freely. Personally I feel Powell Butte has a lot more
opportunity than Forest Park, case in point: it currently has more single
track available to bikes (depending on what map you use).

Powell Butte's Trail plan is under review and will be open for redesign
considerations by the City. PLEASE fill out the following and let your view
regarding the creation and opening of more singletrack on Powell Butte be
heard. Mountain bikers were represented well at the public forum, but we
need more energy to ensure trail is not lost, but maintained and constructed
for future use.

If you have not filled out the form please do so now! The City is giving the
public until Friday, November 27th to submit comments. The opening page
shows 3 different public areas. They are proposing spending a lot of $ on
parking resources for horses and cars, and not a lot on trail redesign and
maintenance.

Points to make:

Select that you bike there

Invest in the trail system, rework for anti fall line and proper drainage

Dogs on leash and required horse manure bags

Don't close down trails, make more, make them open use or at least give each
user 1 private trail they are solely responsible for upkeep

Use proper tread, not pea gravel or bark mulch

Invest in the IMBA resources for Trail design and ask for their help for
proper trail construction
