Have any of you read Fast Food Nation? The fast food industry started this type
of marketing.

Don't forget that its the job of marketing, and bike magazines, to sell stuff.
If they can't create a perceived need, you might be happy riding the same
bicycle for years, without buying a bunch of new stuff. Very bad from the
manufacturer's standpoint.

The only thing that works in Arizona is sealant (slime). Thorns come in from all sides, so the Mr. Tuffy strips don't help. It doesn't seem to plug valves, so...

I switched to Stan's because I got tired of pinch flatting, and Stan's is a cheap way to switch. I was happy with the switch until I got new rims (XC717's)....
