Re: Tour de Tillamook - Registration

The Tour de Tillamook registration form and information is now up on the
website. Please go to http://nw-trail.org/node/712 and download the form. Mail
it in ASAP to help with our planning and to ensure a successful event!

Keep in mind that the event is being operated at less than cost due to donations
from the many sponsors. Your payment will help to cover your lunch, dinner, and
the costs of putting this event on. Included with every registration is:

Mountain Bike Skills Instruction
Custom NWTA logo'ed water bottle
Lunch and Dinner (Saturday)
Camping
Movies
Bike Maintenance Presentation
AND MORE!

I look forward to seeing you there!
Ryan K.

Tillamook is rapidly approaching and will be held July 31-August 2!  We have
been busy planning this event for quite a while, and it is now time to nail down
the final details, including getting all of you signed up as volunteers to help
out (lots of ways to do this) and getting you all registered to participate in
the event.

Track race on Monday night.  The NWTA board had changed the organization's
mailing address, and I forgot to update the registration form with this
information.  I will be posting an updated registration form on the NWTA website
(soon!) so that folks can download and print it off.

volunteer positions available, but feel free to double/triple up to help make
this event successful and fun :)  Please email me (offlist) with your desired
volunteer activity.  Most of these are short duration activities on a single day
of the event, so you will still have lots of time to participate in the event.
Other volunteer opportunities occur outside of the event dates, so you can do
one of those and participate fully in the event.

hours of shopping between now and July 28th) - we already have a grocery list
and will be happy to assist in the shopping/hauling, but need someone who can
purchase bulk food for us cheaper.
> 2. Registration Table (shifts on Saturday August 1st from 8am-10am,10am-12pm,
and 12pm-2pm) - ideally it would be nice to have 1-2 people for each shift
> 3. Skills Park transport (looking for someone with access to a trailer that is
approximately 8 ft x 5 ft and a vehicle capable of pulling the trailer loaded
with the mobile skills park, which is constructed of wood) - we would like the
skills park to arrive Friday (July 31) evening, and be taken back some time on
Sunday.
> 4. Skills Park setup/tear down - 3-4 people to help setup the mobile skills
park on Friday evening in the Smith Homestead meadow and people to help tear it
down and load it in the trailer on Sunday.
> 5. Setup for Lunch - 1-2 people to help setup for lunch
> 6. Setup for Dinner - 1-2 people to help setup for dinner
> 7. Burger/hot dog griller - 1 skilled BBQ-ista to operate the large charcoal
grill at the Smith Homestead
> 8. Mountain bike movie operator - 1 person to run the mountain bike movies in
the Smith Homestead on Saturday (August 1) evening from 8pm-10pm.
> 9. Smith Homestead clean-up - 3 people to help clean-up the Smith Homestead
Saturday evening (9:30pm-10pm) before we close it up
> 10. Group Ride Leaders/sweepers - (a) ride leader and sweeper to lead an
afternoon family friendly ride on the Wilson River Trail, (b) ride leader and
sweeper to lead a morning beginner ride on the Wilson River Trail, (c) ride
leader and sweeper to lead an afternoon beginner ride on the Wilson River
Trail, (d) ride leader and sweeper to lead a morning and an afternoon
intermediate ride on the Wilson River Trail, (e) ride leader and sweeper to lead
a full out and back ride on the Wilson River Trail during the morning and
afternoon (or however long it takes for your group to do it).
