RE: [pumpclub] Reminder: Wilson River Trail workparty this Saturday (July 18th)

Ryan,

I can't make the work party this weekend, but I'm super curious about what's
west of Keenig Cr. (I rode Keenig to Jone's yesterday). I'm also curious
about the new downhill by Reheer's, I've only been to Reheer's once since
the Gail's Cr. trail washed out; what's new there and where can I get a map
or trail direction? I'm also curious about this Coal Cr. area, I don't think
I know anything about it and I'm curious about where I'd find more
information. If you have a few minutes, could you write back and give me
some pointers?

Thanks,

Geoff

Just a reminder that I will be leading the work party this weekend on behalf
of NWTA and ODF in the Tillamook State Forest this Saturday (9:30am-2pm).
We will be focused on brushing the portion of the Wilson River Trail from
Keenig Creek towards the west. This work is very much needed prior to the
Tour de Tillamook campout weekend. We will also be installing trialhead
signage.

Afterwards, I will be doing a ride on Sickter Lars that will include some
additional brush work. And, then on to Reheer's Camp for a fun ride on the
newly legalized downhill trail. There are also lots of opportunities to
ride afterwards either on the Wilson River Trail, Storey Burn Trail,
Historic Hiking Trail, Triple C Trail, Gales Creek Trail (portions that are
still open that is), and the other mountain bike accessible trails - could
even drive over to the Outback Trail in Mountain Bike Area #2 in the Coal
Creek area near Nehalem if you wanted to ride and campout for the weekend (I
can give directions to you if you wanted to do this).

Think of this as a mini-Tour de Tillamook!

Plan to meet at the Tillamook Forestry Center at 9:30am. RSVP on the NWTA
website at http://nw-trail. <http://nw-trail.org/node/1354.> org/node/1354.
Carpools can be arranged using the comment area on the website.

Bring clothing appropriate for working outside (including work gloves, close
toe shoes, long pants), sunscreen, food/water adequate for your personal
needs, and your bike if you plan to ride afterwards. You may also consider
bringing the following tools if you have them: gas powered weed eater (will
need to have the spark arrester on it; and need to have appropriate
protective clothing to operate it during the work party), lopers, and
pruners.

Thanks and hope to see you Saturday!
Ryan K.
