After the Battery escaped with a draw on the luckiest day in 2007 (7/7/7) in Charleston, today is their unlucky Friday 13th when they face again the Puerto Rico Islanders, this time at the Juan Ramón Loubriel stadium in Bayamón.
 
Today is the 99th game for the Islanders in the USL-1. The Islanders will celebrate their 100th game on Sunday in the Juan Ramón Loubriel stadium, also against the Charleston Battery. Since their start on 2004 in the USL-1 the Puerto Rico Islanders have a 5-6-2 record against the Batter,y including 2 post season games.
The 2nd half of the season starts tonight, and with 14 games remaining, the Islanders find themselves in the 10th place of the USL-1 standings with 16 points and a 3-7-4 record. Their Charleston rivals are in 7th place with 20 points and a 5-5-6 record.
 
Puerto Rico is looking forward to obtain 2 wins and 6 points in the standings against Charleston during their visit to the island during the Islanders' historic 99th and 100th games in the league. With 6 standing points against the Battery this weekend, the Islanders will rise to the 6th place, tying the Atlanta Silverbacks with 22 points.
