the best cycling discipline out there...
So, here's the thought:
Regular CX practice. Can we find/setup a routine course/location w/in close riding distance that we can do a local weekly throw down... laps of just social on and off the bike followed by a couple high intensity laps?
Haines park has some pre-made barriers that are up that i've kinda lately eyeballed as built in barriers. But making some of the "BostonCross" PVC barriers http://www.bostoncross.com/portahur certainly aren't out of the possibility.dle2.pdf
It might be august but it is time to start doing the drills and all that.
The nice thing about the Haines park location is there are a few sections of single track in addition to the parking lot barriers and it isn't terribly crowded, not too hard to get to from the city (south on the bike path for about 4-5 miles - perfect warm up)...
Thoughts? Suggestions?
I'd would be best to do mid-week, like a Wed, so it can be at the highest intensity during the season without impacting the legs for the races...
Wed night CX training series? Totally not publicized... but not exclusive...
Whadda Yall say????
