| Location: | Providence RI: Blackstone Blvd & Irving St | |
| Notes: | Starting this week (April 27) there will be a weds night paceline. Ride will start at 530 sharp on blackstone blvd at the south end by Irving. We'll be meeting here every week through the summer. This is meant to be an opportunity for cyclists in Providence to meet up, relax, and enjoy an easy pace. New riders are especially welcome and this will be a great place to meet other cyclists, learn to ride in a pack and find out about places to ride in our community. All cyclists must have helmets and have bikes in good mechanical working condition. There will be no attacking, no sprinting of any kind for the first half hour. All riders need to stay in their small chainring and speeds are not to exceed 18mph. We will be riding in the bike lane and all traffic rules must be respected. After the first half hour folks can break off and ride whatever pace they like, but are encouraged to stay in the paceline. We'll be having a post ride bbq in a few weeks as well. | |
