Ok seems Wyldgade got a welcome on #51, so its
just me. I wish i had more to contribute but i am
relatively new to hockey (and message boards for that
matter.) I am an attorney though and this last topic seems
to be about trademarks and registration. (Of course
you can take a picture of a celebrity and sell it -
look at the rags. Their images become important in
endorsements and that's a whole different ball of wax.)If you
have a trademark, you may own it by first use in
commerce, but if you have not registered it you cannot sue
anyone when they infringe. So if the P-Bruins mark is
not registered, you could make knockoffs but they
can't sue you even though they own it. I would find it
hard to believe that they haven't registered. Perhaps
it is under the B-Bruins registration.
