Hi
I am a 70 year young newcommer to this sport and got my jumpers for
Xmas. I thought that I might have some problems getting used to them,
but after ten minutes or so of practice managed to walkaround the
garden. Next step is to take to the streets! Don't think that I will
graduate to the tricks you youngsters get up to though! I live in the
West Mids area, and should like to meet other interested wrinklies,
or slightly older adults. Are there any clubs or get togethers in the
West Midlands area that wouldn't mind a senior attending?

Well chris poweriZers projumps jfy jumpers are all the same stilts
with different labels on them and there about 135 to 190
pounds....poweriSers (220 -240 pounds) are the better out of thos 3
but 7 league jumping stilts or other wise known as 7meilenstiffel are
the best out of ALL the 'cheap' stilts you can get...but if your rich
then there are powerskips at about 600 pounds AND even more expensive
are velocity jumping stilts at £1500!!!!! but there custom built not
mass made...
kevin
******if your interested in buying some 7 league jumping stilts go to
www.7leagueswales.co.uk (you dont have to be in wales to get them, but
if you are we offer a free face to face service to help you get
started)******
www.welshbockers.co.uk <----site dedicated to power jumping in wales
and the surrounding areas...
Powerisers are used for exercising as well as running, jumping and to a degree minor stunts e.g forward flips, jumping over things, the other produce is mostly just for kids who want to have a bit of harmless fun in the garden,
The powerisers come in 4 size types which support certain weights e.g the M60's manage the lighter people where as the M70's + handle heavier people,
i guess powerisers are meant to be a fun way to exercise as well as look weight but also are practical means to get around on foot, please go to the .com for the spell and hight jumping information,
Please excuse the bone question but......
I am looking to get a pair of powerisers but what is the difference
between the different types?
eg Powerizers, Powerisers, Pro-Jumps etc
Are they any good on Tracks and Grass, I live on the edge of Salisbury
Plain, would they be good for running around?
Chris
Make the most of them whilst they are young as they grow up very quick
I have two girls aged 16 & 14 and I wish I had been home more instead of working all the hours god gave as i cannot remember them as babies an more although they cost more as they get older lol
I have not tried powerisers myself yet as i am not sure of them and also the price of them I joined this site after a pen pal in the USA told me of the site and have been following the use of powerisers both here and in the states
I did do stilt walking which had its falls as well i still have the scares lol
anyway will get going now

I was interested to know what other people wear if anything. What is comfortable and what offers good protection. With my 661 4x4 knee pads I do have difficulty doing up the knee strap on the powerisers. but there is no way I going to not wear them. What do the rest of you use?

Hi Guys/Gals
My name is Mark 34yrs and I live in Ringwood, Hampshire.
Just got my Powerisers today and tried em out for the first time.
Got'em from boysstuff.co.uk. £225. Delivery was delayed but maybe that
was a good thing as it gave time for my body armour to arrive.
chainreactionscycles.co.uk for that. Managed to walk and run (jog sort
of) havnt fallen yet but I know thats coming. I'm into horse riding
(natural no tack (saddle etc) or nothing) and I thought these would be
a great way to keep fit and have some fun. I feel somewhat old though,
looking at the poll but hey what the hell. Must og and make my wife
some food. just had first baby so I got to take care of her.
Bye
I'm a newbie to the group and very interested in this awesome sport.
How do the Powerisers compare to the PowerSkips? Performance, cost,
durability, comfort...
Thanks
Jerry

Hi just saving up for a pair and was wondering how many of you have
warped your bearings so they make a noise and did you replace them or
carry on with them like normal? Thanks Jake
I finally managed to get out on my Poweriser 7090's today. Thank god
for my half day at work. And now you all get to hear about my first
experiance with powerisers, because I know you really want to, deep
down inside.
I [grabbed/purchased/claimed as own] the following items
1.) A Friend (the taller the better!)
2.) A Field (I decided to begin my powerising on grass. For the
simple reason that if I'm going to take a fall, and trust me you
will fall, it's better to fall on soft ground. So I went over to
practice on my local sports field.)
3.) Protective Equipment [Bike Helmet/Wrist Guards/Elbow Guards/Knee
Guards] (No matter how tough you think you are, I heavily advise
these. Your health is priceless, and I can almost garuntee you'll be
falling over in the begining. During all of my falls, my knees hit
the floor first, followed by forearms, so be prepared.)
Now, I will begin my journal.
Walking with Assistance - Attempt One
The first time I moved in my powerisers, it felt really weird. I
held tight onto my 7ft tall friend's arm as we slowly and carefully
began to stroll. It took me about ten seconds to fall over. Dammit.
It didn't hurt at all.
Walking with Assistance - Attempt Two
After my first fall, I managed to drag myself back across the grass
to the wall where I started, and pull myself up using the wall. I
grabbed my friend again, and we were off. I began to relax a lot
more now, as I knew if/when I would fall over again, it wouldn't
hurt. I fell over again soon after, but not because I lost my
balance. But because my friend was taking shorter steps than me, and
when he held onto me he pulled me down. Time to crawl back to the
wall again.
Walking with Assistance - Attempt Three
Now I was starting to get the hang of it. We set off from the wall
again, and we were managing to walk in a random path all along the
field. My confidence was growing now, so I asked my friend to let go
of me and see how I managed alone, I'd just mastered Walking with
Assistance. Hell, what was one more fall?
Walking Alone - Attempt One
Surprisingly, I did quite well. I walked around the field on my own
for about two minutes before I took my third fall. I fell because my
strides wern't long enough. I had to crawl back to the wall again,
but I was feeling proud of myself.
Walking Alone - Attempt Two
Now, I was a walking machine. Now that I had sorted out my striding
problem. I wasn't having any trouble at all walking around the
field. I was starting to get the hang of balancing myself properly
on the powerisers. I had mastered the art of walking. I did a few
short jumps to try and soften my springs a little.
Running - Attempt One
Now that I was a confident walker, it was time to pick up the pace.
I walked faster and faster, until I was running, kind of. It was
more of a jog, as I got faster I started to lose my footing. I
thought I was going to fall again, but thanks to my practice, I
recovered myself. I could pretty much jog in them now, but I wasn't
a sprinter yet. Time to call it a day for now.
Hey guys, nice to meetcha all. Just to introduce myself, I'm a 17
year old student from the Lake District. I practice the martial
arts, running, squash, go to the gym ect. I decided to get myself
some powerisers for the fitness side of them, in case you haven't
guessed from my hobbies.
I just unwrapped the beasts this morning, and like seandonaldson86 I
got them from play.com, for the simple reason they do free special
delivery and they take my card (damn electrons!).
play.com sent me a red pair of 7090's. I'm pretty much on the
borderline of weight for the 5090's and the 7090's, so I could get
away with both. But I decided on 7090's, cause I'm gaining weight as
I work out.
I can't say I've tried much, cause of work issues, and the fact I
haven't got protective gear yet. I'll have to get my girlfriend to
help me get started on em, I'll need someone to break my fall.
Anyways, enough ranting from me. Even though you probly won't want
me too, I'll be updating you on my progress too. Has anybody ever
considered inventing a sport with these things? Like Tag with
Powerisers, like... Power Tag?
Hey guys got them yesterday and it rained so had a little go in the
house but don't tell my mum. Got out on them today was really
cool,
managing to keep my balance gave walking a go felt pretty good, picked
up speed a bit and fell flat on my face, small abrasion on stomach but
nothing really, would really recommend putting some knee pads on,
wrist guards are good and a helmet. But all I have done today is just
been walking around tried jumping as well and fell, so I guess
practise makes perfect. I will keep u lot updated see how we go!
P.S I got my 1's from Play.com came within a few days.
Price - yeah they do cost a bit but I just told my self "you only live
once"
Oh I am 19 m from Scotland - studying Product Design
Hey all, just a message to introduce myself and say hi!
My name is James and im 19, from winchester in south england, hampshire.
I am very interested in getting a pair of these powerisers but
obviously £240 odd is quite a lot of money for a student to cough up,
not to mention what my parents would say if i bought them, not that it
matters.....lol but, anybody know a warehouse dealer or any clubs that
would let me rent a pair for a day or so. Im pretty athletic and can do
flips and things on the trampoline so i'd really like to give them a go.
Who knows, in a few years there could even be an extreme sports
competition involving them on an obstacle course!!
Anyways, anyone else want to post their details here, so we can all get
to know each other a little better!
Thats all from me for now, cos im at work. Slaters all
Hi
I meant pounds but my keyboard said dollars!! I don't
know how soon I'll have the cash but any help to find

To any member of PUK,
spread the message of PUK to any UK user of powerisers you know or meet (even if
just
have met them on the street) to share tips, info, meets, links, rumors.
thankyou, Joe Nava (administrator)
