The 26 goal US Open is now over but there are good lessons to be learned from the results.  Take a look at the statistics below.  Previously I highlighted the importance of scoring your penalty shots.  What's remarkable about the list is that not one of the top scorers in the US Open had less than a 50% conversion rate on penalties.  The numbers speak for themselves.  If you can't convert penalty shots you are not going to be a high scorer for your team.  But don't worry, we'll practice penalties and everything else you need to know in next month's clinics.  Right now, we have one weekend clinic filled and we're filling the next one quickly.  We remind everyone to register as student member of the USPA and send in your clinic application and payment by check immediately since that's the only way to confirm you spot.
