The Polo School will reopen in October and we are very pleased that
interest is high among our continuing students and quite a few
newcomers. In the coming week we'll make announcements about the
exact starting date. Until then we suggest that students ensure
that their gear is in good condition as well as their bodies! A
return to riding after some time off generally results in some
muscle soreness for a few days, so right now might be the time to
start stretching and doing some in-line skating and resistance
training to tone those inner thigh and lower back muscles.
We here at the Red Eagle Ranch are just as excited as our students
about the reopening. Since we have considerable interest in polo
from prospective new students, we'll be offering introductory
beginners' sessions as well as our regular Saturday and Sunday
offerings. Depending on schedule constraints and interest, we will
also offer evening, weeknight polo in the Red Eagle Arena under the
lights, which of course is a favorite fall excursion for me.
We are also planning a fall party/BBQ/bonfire for our students and
friends at the Ranch around the end of October. Based on the
responses from our last month of parties out here you can be sure
that the fall event will be just as memorable.
The final part of the 2004 polo season promises to be another
wonderful experience and we are thrilled to have you join us. We
look forward to seeing all of you very soon.
