The Courage Cup, a Charity Polo Match organized by one of our own
loyal and enthusiastic students, Greg Ball, is coming up on 19 June
and he promises that it's going to be an event you just shouldn't
miss. I'd like to commend Greg for doing a fantastic job as the event
coordinator. There will be two professional teams playing on the grass
field in the afternoon, and two charity teams playing in the
morning. Work to Ride, a non-profit equestrian rider program is
coming from Philadelphia to play. I will be on hand to provide music as DJ and
act as the play-by-play announcer for the day's events.
Sponsors for this event include the Madison Hotel (the only 5 Star
Hotel in D.C.), Oasis Winery, Mix 107.3 FM, Team Michelob Polo,
Final Chukker, El Gaucho, Innovative Construction Group, and
American Mortgage, and of course the Muldoon Family; the Potomac
Polo Club and Potomac Polo School. The Coyote Ugly Staff will be
bartending and the Redskins Cheerleaders will be in attendance. A
modeling agency will be conducting a special photo shoot.
I believe they may have sold out of railside tailgate spots and VIP tent passes
but there are many Spectator Passes left, and the cost is only $20.
Bring a blanket, beverages, and friends and enjoy the afternoon in style.
This will be a premier polo event for the summer. Please be sure to support it
through your presence.
