UPDATE: League Finals and Polo this Weekend   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #297 of 550 |
The finals of the Fall/Winter League are set for this Saturday.
Players must arrive at 12N to prepare for the match. The conditions
should be ideal since the snow will long gone with tonight's rain.
We'll mount up and send the additional horses over to the arena by
trailer just as soon as everyone reviews their game strategy.
Joining us on the playing field will be Asmeen K, Ryan C., Julia S.,
Jim T., Dr. Keith R, and Marcos L. Once again we have Black versus
Red—Keith and Asmeen should check with Mary on which color to wear.

Student lessons will take place on Sunday at 1PM. This may be a
large class since it's the only one planned for that day. With
exceptional lobbying we may squeeze a second class in later in the
day, but don't count on it. If I were you, I'd call for the 1PM
class now!

Even with the end of the season and the cold weather we have new
students joining the school. To accommodate them we'll likely have
an additional evening class next week. Check with Mary if you are
interested (remember classes that focus on riding for polo are
Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the Red Eagle Arena). Last week's
evening class on Thursday was a superb experience for those who
attended. Mary's talented 4-goal rated brother Joe provided
instruction to the students along with Mary. And everyone enjoyed
polo under the lights with the snowflakes falling.

We hope everyone is having fun with the snow, but as nice as it is
we're glad to see it gone so that we can play more polo. We'll see
you on the field this weekend. The clock is rapidly ticking down
for the PPS this season so get out now and play.

And remember we are still taking applicants for our 2004
Winter/Spring Scrimmage League with the Potomac Polo Club—check with
Mary and be one the few people in the sport to have played on a team
with a four-time U.S. Open polo professional and 26-goal USPA Gold
Cup Champion, our own Charlie Muldoon. Think about it, how many
people who play tennis can say they played with Andre Agassi or how
many golfers have ever played with Tiger Woods? Sometimes, the most
special things in life are right under our noses and yet they go
unnoticed. Don't miss this opportunity. You'll play your best polo
and learn a lot.

END
