The rain didn't scare everyone away this past weekend. We had two
classes on Saturday and one on Sunday and never got wet, which of
course was nice. If you stayed home, then next time don't chicken
out because the weather actually was awesome with cool breezes and
moderate sunshine.
Of course we'll have evening class this week and we'll be back to
two classes a day on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday should be
particularly exciting since we'll have our polo training at 1PM just
prior to a special polo event co hosted by the Grooming Lounge in
Washington DC and the Potomac Polo Club. We may even schedule a one
day tournament that day so stayed tuned, but wear your jerseys and
whites nevertheless, it never hurts to look as good as you expect to
play. There will be high quality club-level polo and some other
festivities as part of the Grooming Lounge Cup so please come out
even if you are not taking a lesson that day. I'll post additional
details later this week.
Three new polo ponies arrive on Sunday courtesy of Gone Away Farm.
They have had their manes clipped and are ready for inclusion in the
school. We're looking forward to adding them to our string of
league ponies.
The new playing surface in the oversized outdoor arena is quite nice
and the ball plays well out of the newly graded corners. We know
you'll like it. Lots of new custom mallets arrived this past week
and quite a few were distributed over the weekend. Be sure to come
out this week and pick yours up. The latest t-shirt order also was
distributed. We'll be ordering more t-shirt and very sexy
tournament jerseys in the coming week so please send me an email
right away if you are at all interested (djtedald@...).
With the new ponies and the improving weather we are getting close
to the rescheduling of the consolation match from the winter league.
A new date should be announced within the next week.
See you in the arena.
