Sorry for the delay in publishing this week but here we go…
The much anticipated Winter League Consolation Match was postponed
due to muddy conditions, the Potomac Hunt Steeplechase Event, and a
few shoes from horses at the last minute so we'll make up the
match
in the coming month. Everyone is fired up for this final so it
should be a lot of fun. We've been continuing Tuesday night
classes
and the results for the continuous participants are dramatic. You
can guess who's been coming simply by watching who is moving
around
the field better and scoring more than before. We are picking up a
few new horses for the school (which of course is pretty exciting)and
we'll post photos and bios of these fine mounts in the coming
weeks.
Mary and I have already tested them out and we're sure that
you'll be
pleased. We should be receiving the long-delayed mallets this week
and for those who ordered custom t-shirts with your name on the front
pocket, I expect to have them in lo later than Tuesday of next week.
These shirts are pretty cool and having your name on them makes it
look like you are Red Eagle staff--so watch out because we may make
you clean up stalls! If you want one check the designs on the
merchandise page of the website and then let me know how you want it
too look. This weekend could be rainy but Mary is accepting
reservations for Saturday and Sunday. We've distributed a large
number of the new orientation books; however, if you have not
received one please ask Mary the next time you are at the tack room.
On June 8th the Potomac Polo Club will hold a special event in
partnership with The Grooming Lounge of Washington DC. This will be
held at 1PM on the Michael Muldoon Memorial Field (Field No. 1) in
back of Red Eagle Ranch. It'll be a great opportunity for our
students to picnic on the sidelines watch club-level polo as well as
highly rated players (like Charlie and Joe Muldoon). The new barn
addition of five stalls is about 85% complete and it looks
outstanding. That's all for now. If you don't make it out
for polo
this weekend, please have a safe and fun Memorial Day Holiday.
