Polo this week May 05, 2003   Message List

Polo school was quite busy over the past week, with full classes on
Tuesday and Wednesday evenings; full classes on Saturday and Sunday
and a several private lessons. Some people were shut out from
participating this week because they waited too long to sign up. So
don't miss out on the excitement of polo--please call as early in the
week as possible, but certainly no later than Friday morning for
Saturday and Sunday. And remember, once your reservation for a
lesson is made "no-shows" count against your lesson package.

Classes this week will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as
well as Saturday and Sunday. For those that ordered mallets, we
expect the shipment to arrive this week so please bring your check
book to your next lesson if you have not already paid for your new
mallet. Our sporty black, Red Eagle Polo T-shirts (just like the
instructors wear) are available for sale at the tack room. We have
Large and Medium sizes. White and grey–T-shirts with a variety of
logo and text options are also available and can be viewed at the
merchandise page of the website or on my back on the playing field.
Stop by the tack room to order these.

The final game of the Fall/Winter League, the Consolation Match is
firm for the weekend of May 17-18. The day will be decided this week
so stay tuned. The horses are fit and have had their manes trimmed
and look great. This match promises to be a lot of fun.

We recently had new surfacing added to the outdoor arena to provide a
smoother yet fluffier surface. We hope you like the improvements.

Our beginner class continues to have a steady stream of newcomers, if
you have any friends who might want to try polo why not have them
give Mary a call?

The short Red Eagle promo video for PC use was very well received and
we handed out about a dozen copies in the past two weeks. I'll burn
some more discs this week so if you'd like one just ask me at the
barn next weekend.

This month we'll be issuing a summer and fall season schedule with
holidays, lesson times and league dates. Make sure that you have a
copy; however, it will also be posted on the website. You can plan
your vacations to coincide with off days for the school to maximize
your polo. And remember, you must use up your lesson packages before
the end of each season. There is no carry over to the next season
for unused lessons, so be sure to come out often.

See you out in the arena this week.
