Yup I'm American. Some people use gas stabilizer in their lawn equipment thru the winter here when they're not using it and on snowblowers thru the summer....

Had a similar problem and found that the advance retard mech. was starting to get sticky. Six screws and one bolt had the thing out and i cleaned the piviots...

have u cleaned the air filter???? also check that the crankcase breather hose isnt blocked u can find it under the cardie coming out of the engine regards...
