Sounds like mine...

Mine got run by someone who borrowed it and ran it a bit low and hot all
day, which made it have slight bottom end noise. Then about a year later I
ran it SLIGHTLY low on oil for about 100km, but not below the low
indicator. I topped it up and it got louder and louder anyway and died
after about another 200kms.
