Hi all,
My research into the 50's hot up stuff revealled that the little end
size is 13mm whereas ct110 use 15mm also the heads and barrels differ
in the bolts on the cam chain side 1 as against 2 on the ct motor,
the cam on the 50's runs in ball bearings as opposed to plain
bearings on ct ,the exhaust pipes should fit.
an interesting place to look for pistons is ryteching. netfirms ,they
have charts giving piston sizes including gudgeon pin Dia. and crown
height. for many makes and models.
I've just been given some down draft CV carburators about 27mm that I
will try to adapt to the race bikes.
I think 550 Honda pistons have 15mm pin are flat topped and about 58
dia which means you would need to resleeve the barrel and machine out
the cases.
Cheers
Noel
