I've had several Daredevil discs to play around with for the past month and they come as close as I have ever seen to duplicating the feel of Discraft. They are solid discs and fly well.... but that being said they still feel different enough to me that I find it annoying to throw them. This is probably due to me not throwing them enough, but still, the annoyance is there -- they just aren't Discraft. Also, there aren't too many Daredevil discs being used in tournament play (outside of Canadian Nats), so you're still always going to run into Discraft discs 99% of the time when playing in tournaments. That's reason enough for me to train my team with Discraft discs only.
If you want to learn lots more, I recommend checking out the Daredevil threads on RSD:

Hey everybody,
Im a misguided frisbee youth and I look to your experience for help.
The PHS Ultimate Frisbee club is looking to invest in some new practice
discs. My original idea was to get a batch of 10 Discraft misprints for
$50 (good cheap discs), that way if they break in the winter nobody
cares. Also, im comfortable and familiar with the quality of the
Discraft brand. My co-captain suggested we look into some
Daredevil "Frostie" winter discs for $8.50. Having never thrown a
Daredevil, let alone a winter disc made of softer plastic, I was faced
with quite a dillema. Does anybody have any input as to which is the
better disc? Like I said, I'm used to Discraft, but is there even a big
difference to worry about? Thanks for the help,
