Just my $.02, but that seems like a mighty
long clinic (3 hours), not sure you’d have enough daylight on June
2. Is there a way to condense it to a 2 hour clinic?
Since we are running it as a UPA
sanctioned league, perhaps we can add a bubble to the registration form to mark
if a player is 2004 UPA current and fill in their UPA #. I want to be
sure that folks who are not UPA current know to add $10 to their registration
fee.
Lastly, are we covered with the
registration fee only being $20? Field rental, buying and printing T’s,
etc. Just wanted to be sure.
Thanks for the hard work everyone.

Quick Summary of Summer League (as I see it)
Hi all,
This is quick so please correct or consider and reply with
any concerns. I'd like to publish this information on the website soon so
league participants have as much information as we know to work with.
Women's Clinics will be held on Wednesday June 2, 6PM and
Saturday June 5, 9AM - noon at the Community Campus fields. I
suggest the following format for each clinic:
1 hour - introductions, 10 basic rules, gushing
about the joy of ultimate, warm-ups, throwing, catching
45 minutes - cutting drills and
marking drills
1 hour, 15 minutes - playing the game with
questions and answers
There is no cost for the women's clinic, there is no
requirement that a women join or be part of the league, water will be provided.
Sunday, June 6 is draft day at a secret location.
Wedneday, June 9, 6PM is the first game of the league.
League will be 8 weeks long with the last league game on
Wednesday July 28. I'm still open to suggestions for 'finalizing'
the league. I like the way it was last year. So I suggest the
final tournament be Saturday, July 31 with party and cake afterwards.
Lots of cake.
