Hi folks,

Looks like I made a bad judgment call in cancelling today's ride ahead
of time. I was out of the area midweek and felt that the local Cheam &
Morden CTC's decision to abandon their Hilly 50 event, which also acts
as a fundraiser, cannot have been taken lightly and that there must
have been a very real concern for black ice in the lanes. I hope those
looking for a ride still managed to get out on their bikes.

I did hear of a couple of people being at the library today at 9:30am.
Always check the website for last minute details, especially in
adverse weather conditions. However, today's ride was due to start in
Carshalton, not Pollards Hill. With the new starting points, please
make sure you know exactly which point we are starting from on any
particular week.

Next week's ride starts at Pollards Hill, in the car park by the
library. John will lead on a new route to Claygate, the isolated
village annexed by the A3. The pub there has always welcomed us and
it's an interesting mix of urban and rural riding. Be ready for a
9:30am departure.
