The Cheam & Morden CTC cancelled their annual Hilly 50 ride yesterday due to the icy condition of the lanes. Our Sunday ride passes over some of those lanes so I'm taking the unusual step of cancelling in advance. There are a lot of hills on the ride and a lot are shaded by hedges so I don't want to get out there only to find we're all slipping on black ice. It's not worth the risk.
Hopefully, we'll be back on track for Claygate the following Sunday.
