Jim B has wisely pointed out that Mothers Day is a popular day to
lunch at country pubs . And we're not booked into the Dog & Duck at
Outwood. As it's a joint ride and I've no idea on numbers to be able
to make a booking, it might be wise to bring sandwiches.
8:30am at East Croydon for the train to Oxted or meet us there at
9:00am. We're looking at a couple of extra miles now because the
trains aren't running all the way to Hurst Green. I'd peg this ride as
tough for a PHC ride as it's slightly hilly and we've got extra miles
to cover - about 35 in total. We'll still be at the same slow pace but
we'll be needing to keep the pedals turning. The adventurous can meet
the Anerley at 9:30 at the Purely Oaks dump for a 9:30 sharp depart
but that will see you doing 50+ miles.
Hope quite a few of you can make it as it's out first joint ride with
the 126 year old Anerley Bicycle Club.
Cheers
Mark
