This may seem a little bit astonishing and out-of-the-blue but I'm
told that the barriers in Ravensbury Park are being removed at the
end of the financial year (April). This is thanks to a sustained
campaign by Sustrans Ranger Alban Thurston and Arthur Wyatt of Merton
Cycling Campaign.

A victory photocall has been arranged for cyclists at 9:20am on
Saturday morning with the Morden Guardian. Please come along. Email
me and I'll let you know which set of barriers it will be at. (Alban:
please advise)

What fantastic news! We can all decamp to the cafe in Morden Hall
afterwards for a victory toast.
