On March 26th, Suzanne will be leaving Commonside to go and work in
Edinburgh.

As most of you know, Pollards Hill Cyclists was set up by myself and
Suzanne. Although I tend to lead the majority of the rides, the club would
not have been anywhere near as successful if it wasn't for Suzanne's input.
It was at her suggestion that we became a fully constituted club, took out
insurance and have been able to organise and participate in excellent
Commonside ventures such as Get Cycling Mitcham! and Love Yr Bike. We will
greatly miss Suzanne's ideas, enthusiasm and knowledge.

This coming Sunday will be Suzanne's last as a Ride Leader. Come and join
her for a gentle family-friendly ride across the common and down the
traffic-free path to Beddington Park and along the Waddon branch of the
Wandle Trail to the former Croydon Lido and Croydon Airport. Leaves from
outside the library at 10:30.

If you can't make that, then put March 19th in your diary for Suzanne's
farewell ride up to Fanny's Farm. Be great to see as many people out on
these rides as possible.

The club will continue but we need more ride leaders to come forwards.
Please let me know by return if you are interested and we'll set up a day to
get everyone together and talk through what we've learnt so far. You don't
need to devise the routes or necessarily know where you are going as we are
hoping to be able to buy a GPS system that will guide you automatically.

Also on this weekend is Southwark Cyclists' Bike Magic Day at Surrey Quays
on Saturday. It's a bit like an outdoors Love Yr Bike with stunt riders and
3 guided rides around the Surrey Quays area and much more. Adam will be
there with his Bike-Blended smoothies. Worth making the trip. We'd have done
a ride up but none of us are around. Details:
