Hello Poedunks,
My name is Jason Susslin. I've been living in Reno since 1982, married 23 years, 3 daughters, mountain biking the area since about 1985.
I'm riding from Genoa to Great Basin National Park (the back way - dirt) from September 1st to 13th as a fundraiser for the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) to help fight Cancer. the ride is about 480 miles, crosses 12 mountain ranges, 15 valleys, and has 26,000' of vertical. I've been wanting to do this ride since 1992, but had to raise a family.
The ride is also in memory of my brother Dan who died in 2004 from Cancer after battling for 15 years. He loved mountain biking, and is the one who got me into it. I'll have a support vehicle with me, but will be riding alone. If anyone would like to ride along side me on any of the sections I would welcome it.
