Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway Reservation Ride

Sunday May 3 - 9:30 am

 

Join local cyclists and trail enthusiasts to pedal the most recently completed section of the Tahoe-Pyramid Bike Way on the Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation.  This route parallels the Truckee River and offers up a variety of terrain and scenery you might not expect.

 

It will be a 17 mile out and back mountain bike ride, you must be self sufficient (bring own food, drink, spare tube, patch kit, pump, tools, windbreaker, etc), and you need to pay for $7 Tribal Day Use Permit Required for EACH CAR into the reservation (get it at the I-80 Smoke Shop / Convenience store).

 

·         Meet at 9:30 am at the Natchez School (directions to start below)

·         Ride Distance: approximately 17 miles on dirt roads and trails

·         Ride Time: approximately 1-1/2 to-3 hours

·         Will have some water at the turn around at the Fish Hatchery

 

Directions to Ride Start:

·         I-80 east to Wadsworth, NV (approximately 24 miles/minutes from I-80 / Vista Blvd in Sparks)

·         Take EXIT 43, left to WADSWORTH / PYRAMID LAKE.

·         Stop and Get Tribal Day Use Permit at Smoke Shop / Convenience Store Turn LEFT onto NV-427.

·         Look for the Natchez School on the right Park in school parking area Have Tribal Day Use Permit visible on dash
