Hey everyone, sorry i havent been as active as i used to be. since the accident, i have ridden a grand total of like 3 times. i know, its awful.
anyway, on to the real matter at hand... i no longer have time to read this, post on it, etc considering i dont think im even on the directors board anymore, not to mention work, friends, relationships, and preparing to (more than likely) leave the country for the next 2 years for med school. (yes i do have a point) Who, if anyone, wants to moderate this group? i think the most obvious choice would be Shane, due to the fact he is incredibly active and does a good job of representing the current trends of the club. i do realize that he might not want to take over it, but you are all free to discuss. make a decision, vote on it, it matters not to me. i just needs to be left in the hands of someone with more time//vested interest than myself.
thanks everyone,
Alex

We're not 100% sure yet but I want to try to get basically the same logo as the Decals and hopefully we'll be able to put the YouthPOA website address on there somewhere too.

Hi everyone. An update on fincances and I'll let you know about the new fundraiser that we want to have ready by the convention.
The Youth Advisory Board has spent $1,291 and made $2,177, for a balance of $885.
Our next fundraiser/promotion will be huggies/coozies for drinks. We should have these ready by the convention if everyone thinks this is a good idea. If no one says they hate the idea of the coozies then we will just order them so that we have them in time to sell them in Indy.

That sounds pretty good to me! =)

I hope everyone is having a good start to the new year. I an working
on the table top display that the youth has at the convention. I
would like to get as much of this done before the convention so we
have more time to socialize adn less time setting up.
This years theme as most should know is Las Vegas. I need pictures
(Thanks Nikki I have yours feel free to send more if you would like).
I would like one to be a head shot of each of the directors. I am
framing the picture with a card border. I also need just plan pictures
can be of anything, you and your pony, you and sports, you and your
horse friends, etc. Older pictures are also good. It is neat to see
how people have changed.
If you need to send them snail mail plese email me for my home
address. My email is mpayne @ localline.com (no spaces)
If you have any questions please email me also.
Thanks
Michelle
I guess we have a few things to discuss. The biggest one that I can think of is the youth bylaws. I will have a draft ready by the convention for us to look at. I'm not sure when the BoD meeting is, but I was hoping I could get the bylaws approved at the convention. Oh well, I guess it can wait until the International if we can't discuss it in time.
We'll also discuss activities that we could plan for the international, like the pizza party which was provided by the arena in Shelbyville so we'll have to do it ourselves in St Louis.
Other than that, I don't think I really have much else to talk about. My other goal that I hope to have almost done by convention is filling up empty director spots. When I finish the bylaws we should have a much clearer idea of the responsibilities of a director so hopefully you all will know what exactly you're supposed to do within your region.
For now, as directors, try to talk to some people in your state or region (by phone or internet or maybe you'll have your year-end banquet) and let's spark some ideas to talk about at the convention. If you won't be there, let me know online or post it on one of the message boards and I'll make sure it is discussed at the meeting.
The new plan is that the meeting will be before the youth trip on Saturday morning. If there are still schedule conflicts then we can have a second meeting, or at least individual briefings.
