There was a nice lady named Linda, on here, who recommended her farrier
to me. I don't have your last name or number anymore, but I just
wanted to give you an update. I won't mention the farrier by name, but
just wanted to tell you he showed up once, a few months ago, after I
called him, did a good job, then screwed over me royally by not showing
up anymore and has evaded phone calls, not returned calls. He sent
someone else in his place, who is a nice guy, but he did a poor job.
So I am in a bad way now, looking for another farrier. When I called him
about 3 weeks ago to tell him the guy he palmed me off on did a poor
job and I felt he should come and make it right, he said he'd call me
back the next day, and as you can imagine, hasn't ever called back.
Only reason I'm telling you this is that I know you had a good heart in
recommending him, but he's not reliable. I also heard from the horse
grapevine, after the fact, that he already has a reputation for this
sort of behavior. It's really a shame that he runs his business this
way and in the end, it's the innocent horses that suffer.
