PRR camping at Alma, Harlan Co Lake   Message List

FYI if anyone wants to stay over at Alma trail.

I have filled the water tank at the trailhead 3 days ago. It should be fresh
and full. People can camp on the grass with tents or in the turn around with
living units. There are no restroom facilities or drinking water available at
the site. Restrooms are available at the city auditorium-Main Street Alma or 2
miles east on South Street at Methodist Creek camp grounds (no horses allowed
there). Methodist Creek has water, showers, restrooms.

A number of campers have stayed the night at the (trailhead) Alma Vista turn
around and have brought panels to keep their horses in. Often utilizing their
trailer and the panels together. Plenty of grass for the horses at the
trailhead and small tank full of water at this time. The trail is difficult to
see in places due to the overgrowth. We hope to mow it again before fall.
May see you Wednesday.
