Opportunity Knocking - Donovan is for sale   Message List

Donovan is a 15 hand 2001 Quarter Horse gelding. He started life with papers but they were lost and are not recoverable.  Quality like he is, he does not miss them.  This is a super sweet natured horse that will do just about anything you point him at and look good in the process.  He is naturally slow legged and pretty moving. Would make a fantastic 4-h or local show type horse. I have ridden him extensively on trails, he will bushwhack, go up or down whatever you ask and is  not a spook.  This is the horse I let the friends I like best ride when they are in town.  I have ridden D in several Trail Challenge type events, he will cross obstacles, water, can back and sidepass patterns, drag objects, all that stuff.  I pony colts off of him, flag training horses and do groundwork while on this horse because he's got that kind of handle on him.  I am selling my good go to horse for personal reasons and this is one of those rare opportunities you can find to purchase a really good, honest right kind of gelding.  $3500

I have other horses for sale as well.

Hawkeye (PR Scooter Hawk) 15.1 hand 2001 APHA Bay Tobiano gelding.  Ridden on trails, started English as well as Western and is an attractive hunter type moving horse.  This horse could show, ride trails, and I have been thinking about bringing him along as a Competitive Trail Riding horse.  He's friendly, gentle, a little green, himself, for the greenest beginner but anyone who understands a horse and can ride a little should very much enjoy this nice gelding. $2000

Skipper (Bay Bars Dynamo) - 15 hand 1997 sorrel AQHA mare. This is a very, very pretty great minded mare that has spent most of her life being a broodmare with intermittent riding.  She's gentle and quiet and will be in training until sold. Price may go up, depending on what all gets done between now and then. $1000

Chica - 1998 black Quarter Pony mare. Gorgeous 14.1 hand mare, she's been the foundation of my Quarter Pony breeding program and has never missed on delivering above average quality foals.  Has easy deliveries, is great mom and easy to handle at all stages. She's had some intermittent riding as well, and could either go back to being a top producer for your Quarter Pony program or could become someone's very nice saddle mare. $1000

Classic - 2002 smokey black Quarter Pony mare - out of Chica, by a Poco Bueno/Mr Blakburn bred Grulla Dun stallion. 14 hands, and put together like a brick firehouse. 30 days last Fall, some riding since.  Really nice project to go on with. $800

I need to get updated photos of Clasic, Skipper and Chica.

All of my horses have had effective Natural Horsemanship training, have fantastic ground manners, load, tie, walk nicely in hand and are easy to catch.  Guaranteed sound, healty, no vices or nasty hidden surprises.  Please contact me if you are interested in one of these nice horses and please feel free to forward this email to anyone you know might be looking.
Cell is 712-333-0335

Thanks
