WOW! What a beautiful night to ride! We had 10 riders at Kay Brass'
to ride Jefferies Island. Perfect number to take my filly Crow out
for the first time. She was awesome!! Not sure about the wood bridge
or the first water crossing, but was right in there for the other
water crossings. We rode the fields, trees, along the river, and had
several easy crossings and one trying one (swampy and very tall
grasses..8 ft?) Crow thought the grass looked better than the mucky
trail and we disappeared into the grass... All came out OK...the
gaters didn't get us :) I can't thank Kay enough for making this
place available to us. You guys that don't come have no idea what you
are missing.
Next Wed 7/18 at Cottonmill. Jamie and Jan in charge. I am going to
Denver....What can I say? Remember the trail has to be dry at
Cottonmill. Hope to see you all at Harlan Co. Lake, Alma 7/25. Anita
